Why Bra Sizes Differ by Country

Band sizes are measured in inches in the US and UK, but in centimetres in the EU and most of Europe so a US 34 becomes an EU 75. Cup letters cause even more confusion: US, UK, EU and AU cup letters all start together at A, but they drift apart around D and DD, since some regions use double letters (DD, DDD) and others move straight to the next letter (E, F). This converter cross-references both scales at once so you don't have to do the maths yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are US and UK bra band sizes the same?

Yes, the band numbers match exactly. It's the cup letters that start to differ from a D cup upward.

Why is my EU size a completely different number?

EU sizing measures the band in centimetres rather than inches, so a US/UK 34 converts to roughly EU 75.

Will a converted size fit perfectly?

It's a strong starting point, but always check the specific brand's own size chart cut and vanity sizing still vary between manufacturers.
